| JAMMU, Mar 16 : To break the deadlock of continuous strike by Food and Allied Workers Union, Director CAPD Jammu, G. S. Chib called a meeting in his office chamber today. Additional District Magistrate Jammu, Arun Manhas, Joint Director CAPD, Jammu, M. A. Choudhary, Assistant Director, Trade and Stores, Jammu, Ajay Sallan, Vice President, FCI, Jammu, Vijay Kumar, President, Food and Allied Workers Union, Bishan Dass attended the meeting.\ After thorough discussions on the pending demands of the Union, an assurance for time bound appropriate action on their genuine demands was given and consequently the union agreed to suspend their strike and requested higher authorities for redressal of their genuine grievances. |
