Early Times Report
JAMMIU, July 8: At least two of the 46 DSPs, whose transfer orders were issued Thursday, have got choice postings with the blessings of senior police officers. Both of them had maintained a close contact with their seniors at the PHQ from the time it had started making the transfer list of DSPs, police sources said. Both are KPS and prior to their transfer yesterday, they held postings in Jammu region. "They have again been adjusted in Jammu region, but PHQ this time has changed the wing of one and the district of the other," the sources added. The one, who was DSP (DAR) in a district of Jammu region nearly three years back, was now adjusted against another post in the same district. During these three years, this blue-eyed officer held at least four significant posts, including that of a SDPO, sources informed. "The department cares so much for him that he is always given significant postings," sources said, adding that the district, where he was posted now, "houses a highly revered religious place". The other officer, who served in a normal police wing, was now posted in a special battalion on the recommendation of senior officers at PHQ. He had got the posting in the battalion for the second time, sources said. It was his intense desire to come back to this special battalion of the state, the sources added. |
