							  | | Bharatiya Vikas Parishad launches plantation drive |  |  |  |  |  |  Early Times Report JAMMU, July 31: Members of Bharatiya Vikas Parishad Swami Vivekanand branch of Gandhi Nagar today launched a plantation drive at Government School for Boys at Jammu Cantonment.
 The drive was launched with cooperation of Department of Social Forestry Jammu and Kashmir. The students and staff members of the government school also participated in the drive.
 A team of BVP's Gandhi Nagar Branch headed by its president  Vijay Sharma (Retd KAS officer) along with Secretary  Sat Pal Khajuria, Chief Advisor Lala Govardhan Dass Gupta, Advisor Vaid and other members initiated the plantation drive.
 State president of BVP  Dev Raj Sharma, Principal  Raj Rani Sharma and other staff planted about 100 saplings. Speaking on the occasion the Principal of school highlighted the importance of such plantation drives and said that it is also good for students to learn the value of trees. Mostly plants of medicinal importance were planted.
