| Previous Govts duped west Pakistani refugees of 1947: Dubgotra | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 11: West Pakistani Hindu Refugee Front President Madan Lal Dubgotra today said that previous governments have duped west Pakistani refugees of 1947.
Chairing a public meeting at Bishnah Dubgotra expressed that these West Pakistani Hindu Refugee (WPHR) were migrated to different parts of Jammu during 1947 due to partition of India.
"Consequent on Kabaili attack on Kashmir, J&K state was annexed to India by the then Maharaja Hari Singh on 26th Oct 1947. There after the J&K State was under the Control of India till formation of the elected Govt in the year of 1952", he said and added that the first voter list was prepared by J&K Govt. during 1951.
"Names of every person residing in the state was to be included in the voter list. Though the names of influenced, prominent, literate, financially sound people from WPHR were included in the voter list, thus become Permanent Residents (PR) of J&K but poor and innocent people mostly from SC and OBC were ignored may be under a well planned conspiracy to give benefit to a particular community on the basis of region or Religion, which is gross violation of Human Rights", he said.
"Now the Congress party has openly opposed the grant of PR status to WPHR during last Assembly Session when the BJP moved a bill for grant of PR Status to WPHR", he said, added that as such it is the need of time to raise the voice against such political parties who have already exploited the WPHR for 67 years, so as to expose their stand which is not in favour of Hindus rather they always claim of being secular Party.
"It is the need of the time to seek cooperation of a political party who support for PR status to SWPHR", he added. |
