UDHAMPUR, Sept 11: Pingla village, where the highly revered cave shrine of goddess Pingla Mata is situated, is alleged to be without electricity for the past nearly one month. They also held a protest in the village today against PDD for its alleged failure to restore electricity to the village. They threatened to block the Ramnagar-Udhampur road in case the power supply was not restored to the village at the earliest. Ashok Kumar, a local, said though the two village transformers were damaged over a month back, these were yet to be repaired by the authorities concerned. |
