Samba, Nov 7: Panic gripped in border village when a farmer noticed a 'live' mortar shell of 81 mm in his field along the International Border (IB) in Ramagrh in Samba district. "The unexploded Mortar shell of 81 mm was noticed by a villager namely Gian Chand resident of village Bambu Chack Ramgarh of district Samba, police sources said, adding he informed the local police immediately. According to the Sources, the police rushed to the spot and cordoned the area besides impressing the services of Bomb Disposal Squad. The bomb Disposal Squad defused the said explosive. Police have registered a case under relevant sections and started further investigations. |
