Early Times Report Jammu, Nov 8: The Jammu University administration has reportedly ignored 10 court stay orders in just one year, showing utter disregard to the courts. According to sources, the High Court has issued 10 orders for maintaining status quo in various cases, but not even one has been honoured by the varsity administration. "From July last year to July this year, the High Court gave relief to victims against alleged administrative autocracy at JU and issued 10 orders for maintaining status quo, but they have not been obeyed by the latter," said sources. "In the month of July 2015, the court issued order (SWP 518/2015, MP no. 623/2015 Dr Archana Kesar versus university of Jammu) against removal of Dr Kesar from post of Head of the department of Dogri. It was not complied with, though." Sources said that another order in case number SWP 2409/2015 titled Dr Vikas Sharma versus university of Jammu has not been complied with too. "In August one more order of the court was disregarded by the JU. SEP number 2252/2015, MP number 1/2015 Mamta Sharma versus University of Jammu, the order was issued on August 14, 2015, but again the order has not been implemented," sources maintained. In September 2015, the court challenging JU order, extended relief to the employees of the varsity. The administration of the university once again overlooked the court's order. "In case titled Rajinder Kumar versus University of Jammu, SWP number 2658/2015 and MP number 1/2015, the order was issued on September 23, but remained un-noticed in the campus," sources said. Surprisingly, in the same month Pawan Kumar another employee of the university brought court order, but it was not implemented, sources asserted. "In the month of October, one more order was issued by the court, but as usual JU authorities paid no heed to it. Hari Krishan, Avtar Singh, Bodh Raj and Ravi Kumar filled a case before the court challenging JU order, on October 14, 2015; High Court issued under SWP number 2756/2015 and MP number 1/2015," said sources, adding that in January, February and March some students/scholars of the university brought court order but same was not implemented. |
