Mendhar, Dec 5: A middle-aged man was killed because of serious burn injuries he received while dousing forest fire in Nalla area of Loran tehsil of Poonch district on Monday.
"The deceased was identified as 38-year-old Munir Hussain son of Sain Alam resident of Loran, police sources said.
According to local reports, fire erupted in the forest area in the frontier district and it engulfed vast portion of the forest area.
"As the fire destroyed the hundreds of green gold, locals alongwith the forest department teams were doing their level best to bring the fire under control, they said, adding during which one person died due to burn injuries.
"Hussain', according to sources, received critical burn injuries while dousing the fire in Nalla area of Mendhar in Poonch district.
"The injured was rushed to a local hospital in Loran, where he succumbed to died, "sources said . |
