Early Times Report
jammu, Dec 5: Although Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti had handed over job orders to the beneficiaries of SRO-43 nearly three months ago, over a dozen persons are facing huge difficulties, thanks to the office of Commissioner Secretary Education.
These persons have been denied original qualification certificates, putting them to great distress.
"Already SRO-43 cases belonging to many departments were pending for long duration and later were sorted out by the PDP-led government, but over a dozen beneficiaries of Education Department who joined their duties immediately after getting orders have not been returned their original documents by the Commissioner Secretary Education office at Civil Secretariat," said sources.
They said that whenever these people approached the Commissioner Secretary office to get their certificates, they were sent back by the clerical section on one pretext or other.
As per rules, these documents should have been dispatched to Directorate of Education and from there to Chief Education Office concerned and finally to the Zonal Officer of their posting place.
But brushing aside the standard procedure, the Commissioner Secretary Education office 'deliberately' kept sitting over the documents for ulterior considerations.
As most of the cases belong to Kashmir region and now with the Darbar Move in winter capital, these people have been put to huge inconvenience.
"They have to visit Jammu by applying for leave and will have to bear all expenses, only because of deliberate negligence of the office," said sources.
They said that in the absence of their original documents, the salaries of the some of the beneficiaries were stopped as they failed to produce the same before the CEO.
Many other beneficiaries who were aspiring for other jobs could not apply due to non-availability of their documents.
