Rajouri, Dec 5: Expressing concerns over the screening test by the education department, the All J&K ReT Teachers Forum (AJKReTTF), Rajouri has appealed to all the ReT teachers of the State to boycott it.
Meanwhile, State leaders of the association too have expressed their concerns over the screening/proficiency test and delay in the release of salaries under Sarav Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) and have threatened to gherao the Secretariat on December 15 if the government fails to revoke the order of 'screening test'.
Manzoor Khan, district president, AJKReTTF ,Rajouri Chapter said that the State government unnecessarily is harassing the ReT teachers in the name of Screening Test instead it should focus on mitigating their (ReTs) problems including release of pending salaries, revocation of ban for their duties in examination, enhancement in honorarium etc.
Speakers in a meeting held in Rajouri here today, discussed various issues pertaining to ReTs and reminded the present regime that the Education Minister had promised to streamline the salaries under SSA within six months during a meeting with ReT teachers some two years ago.
