Reasi, Mar 10: Locals of Pouni today levelled allegations on the local police for roping in them in fake and frivolous murder case.
Addressing a press conference at Jammu, Neelam Kumari along with his mother Satya Devi and sister Chinta Devi had reportedly levelled false and frivolous allegations on the team which was enquiring into the inquest proceedings in this case.
It is pertinent to mention here that on 18.6.2017 Police Station Pouni received an information that a person namely Puran Chand has died, under mysterious circumstances, on receiving this information an inquest proceeding was initiated vide Daily Diary no. 26 dated 18.6 2017.
Meanwhile police officials of Pouni said that during the course of enquiry post mortem examination of the deceased was conducted and the viscera was sent to the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL), on getting the post mortem report from the doctor and the statement of the witnesses, it came to fore that deceased Puran Chand's step sister namely Neelam Kumari, Chinta Devi and her step mother-Satya Devi along with his nephew Dheeraj Kumar had murdered him with the ulterior motive to gain property, as they didn't wanted Puran Chand to inherit the property since he was adopted son of Dhani Ram.
Officials further said that subsequently, these inquest proceedings were converted into case FIR No. 10/2018 under section 302/34/109 of RPC, on March 8 at Police Station Pouni. |
