Global terrorist Hafiz Saeed set to emerge as future Pak leader
'Pakistan turns Terroristan'
3/10/2018 11:41:35 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, Mar 10: Pakistan establishment is leaving no stone unturned to give legitimacy to the Mumbai attack mastermind and US designated global terrorist Hafiz Saeed.
In a recent development the Islamabad High Court ordered the Pakistan Election Commission to allow the registration of Hafiz Saeed's Milli Muslim League as a political party to pave the way for his party to contest the forthcoming elections in the neighbouring country.
An analyst while talking to Early Times said, "Pakistan Army and its spy agency ISI seem to have even influenced the judiciary in the neighbouring country and they are trying their best to ensure that terrorist Saeed joins the mainstream so that he can carry forward their agenda and he could projected as one of the powerful leaders in Pakistan."
He said, "It has been proven beyond doubt that all the politicians in Pakistan are nothing more than the puppets of army and ISI. All the Pakistani politicians are selected and even elected by the army."
A defence analyst said, "Pakistan Army would try its best to ensure that Saeed's party emerges on the political arena of Pakistan so that it could openly support the terrorists and continue with the proxy war in Jammu and Kashmir."
He said, "The day is not far when the nuclear weapons developed by the neighbouring country would fall into the hands of the terrorists and Pakistan would become a threat for the entire world."
Taking a stern view of the developments taking place in Pakistan, the spokesperson of Ministry of External Affairs had said that India's concerns of inaction against Saeed have been echoed by the entire international community as well. "The true face of Hafiz Saeed and Pakistan is for all to see. Not only India but also the entire international community feels that the action should be taken against Hafiz Saeed," he added.
A politician said that despite neighbouring country taking all the possible steps to target India, a few people in Jammu and Kashmir believe that talks should be help with Pakistan to diffuse the tension. "Someone needs to ask them whom do they expect us to talk to? A globally designated terrorist or the sick minded generals of Pakistan army, whose only aim in life is to bleed India and keep on fighting the proxy war," he added.
He said, "I believe that efforts are on to project Hafiz Saeed as a politician and then give him a big role in the Pakistan government as elections in the neighbouring country are approaching."
The order to allow registration of Saeed' s political party has come a few days after the meeting of Financial Action Task Force (FATF), an intergovernmental money-laundering watchdog, that put Pakistan on a grey list. At the FATF meeting in Paris last month, Saeed and his "charities" were top on the list of the groups that the FATF wanted Pakistan to act against. The US Department of the Treasury has designated Saeed as a global terrorist.
