Jammu, Mar 28: Expressing serious concern over the presence of militants in Sunderbani area who were engaged in ongoing encounter by security forces in the vicinity of Sunderbani town, Chief Spokesperson JKPCC Mr. Ravinder Sharma Ex-MLC has strongly condemned Pakistan for increased activities all along border and pushing militants and targeting the hitherto peaceful areas like Sunderbani, causing great threat to the safety and security of people besides disturbing the lives in peaceful areas.
Lauding the Army, Security forces and police for fighting effectively at the cost of their lives Sharma questioned the policies of the state and centre government to deal with serious situation of Pakistan sponsored militancy in the state during the present regime at Centre and State.
Sharma who interacted with the local population at Sunderbani area who have spotted the presence of militants for the past over four days and said that local population passed on timely information to the concern forces for the past four days when they approached local population for food, eatables etc. He said that the response of forces could have been more prompt in order to instill sense of confidence in the surrounding areas. He said that people suspect that Sunderbani area is used on earlier occasions also for infiltration and crossing over to their safe hide outs, however this incident should be eye opener for all concerned so that all sorts of necessary vigilant security measures are taken in this so far peaceful area.
