| CM's refusal to hold CBI enquiry raises questions: NSF | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 15: Credibility of the state government to shuttle one police enquiry to other and finally to Crime Branch of same Police Department has raised apprehensions about the intention of Mahbooba led dispensation prompting the people of Jammu to demand CBI enquiry for administering justice to the victim.
This was stated by Dr. Vikas Sharma, State President National Secular Forum (NSF) in a press conference today who questioned that how can asking for CBI enquiry into the gruesome rape and murder of innocent girl constitute an act of defending the real culprits behind the crime. He pointed out that when one section of state Police Department was reportedly found incompetent by the government to handle this case in the beginning, how the Home Department under the nose of Mahmooba Mufti can convince people of Jammu for fair investigation by the same police in the name of Crime Branch which once failed to do justifiable investigation in this case, he added. |
