| PGATF demands agriculture subject at Plus 2 level | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 15: A meeting of Agriculture Post Graduate Teachers was held at Jammu which was attended by teachers from all the district of Province. The agenda of meeting was to press the demand for introduction of Agriculture subject 10+2 level. On this occasion a body was also formed. Rajive Sharma was unanimously elected as President while Ajay Kotwal was declared as General Secretary. Two vice Presidents were also announced. Speaking on the occasion the newly elected President said that different districts have submitted requirement of new subjects in Higher Secondary schools of state, to the concerned Directorates. As per the requirement almost every school has shown need for introduction of Agriculture subject. He demanded that government should take step in this regard. A large number aspirants (teachers) PG in Agriculture are working in deptt and can be absorbed as Lecturers. They decided to meet Minister for Education in near future present a charter of demands. |
