| Leakages in main pipes lead to water shortage in Mendhar | | | MS Nazki

Poonch, Apr 21 : People of sub division Mendhar have alleged that they face shortage of drinking water due to leakage into the main supply pipes which goes unnoticed by the field staff for unknown reasons sources said here today.
Sources said that people have been suffering since a long but their pleas were not heard by the men at helms in Mendhar Sub Division including Balakote and Mankote Tehsils . How can PHE department can turn nelsons eye to the matter asks a senior citizen of Mendhar?. Meanwhile the matter was today brought into the notice of SDM Dr Tanveer Kahn when a delegation of need based workers and daily wagers called on him under the president ship of Zulfkar Khan . Zulfkar told his problems to SDM who asked Khan about the reasons of developing leakages in the main supply lines. Khan apprised the SDM that PHE field staff was not being provided the leakage material besides the most of the pipes were old ones and rusted because of it the pipes gets damaged and leaking of pipes takes place. SDM gave a patient hearing to delegation and ordered constitution of a team to look into the reasons as why PHE field staff was not provided the required leakage material to end the problems. |
