Panthers reiterates demand to conduct CBI probe in Rasana case, holds protest
5/6/2018 11:26:02 PM
Early Times Report

KATHUA, May 6: Demanding CBI probe in Rasana case, the Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party's (JKNPP's) Kathua unit staged a strong protest demonstration here today.
Led by Kathua District president Panthers Party Robin Sharma, the agitated party activists amid raising anti-BJP slogans burnt the effigy of the state government. Lashing out at the unholy BJP-PDP coalition for not ordering CBI probe in conducting fair and transparent investigation in Rasana murder and rape case, the Panthers Party leader Robin Sharma said that the collective demand of the people of Jammu province was ignored and disregarded by the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti with the full support of the BJP. He further regretted that the saffron party which had an equal share in the government not merely failed to convince her but rather surrendered to her dictates in the most shocking manner. "The Kashmir centric Mehbooba not only turned down the appeal of the BJP ministers to conduct a CBI investigation but successfully forced the saffron partner to sack its two Ministers," Sharma said adding that she threatened to break the alliance in case the BJP failed to do so and at the end of the day it shamefully succumbed to her political designs, bringing disgrace to the Dogra mandate.
The way the vested interests had maligned the image of Jammu region and vilified Dogras in the entire Rasana episode, it had been established once again that the aspirations of the people would continue to be disregarded between the politics of Kashmir and New Delhi for power games, Sharma rued.
