Kishtwar administration warns rumour mongers

Kishtwar, June 1: In the alleged case of slapping the local union leader Joginder Bhandari, Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar today clarified his stand and denied the allegations of slapping the union leader who was jailed on the direction of DC Kishtwar and was released only after the directions from the court.
While addressing the joint Press conference with SP Kishtwar in his office chamber, DC Kishtwar Angrez Singh Rana said that the union leader Joginder Bhandari on being inquired about his activities which could hamper the progress of the power project turned abusive and violent and added that nothing like slapping took place. SP Kishtwar Abrar Chowdhary averred that the matter was sub Judice and it was inappropriate to speak on the issue.
He said that in order to felicitate easy access and smooth functioning, the AFcon Private Limited will operate its office from Tourist Reception Center Kishtwar till the company established its own office.
DC Kishtwar said that the administration will not allow anyone to create hindrance in construction of Power projects. He said that administration will act tough against rumor mongers and blackmailer who are trying to create hurdles in execution of 1000 MW Pakal Dool hydro electric project circulating provocative and misleading information and unregistered unions/ organizations to instigate the unemployed youth of Kishtwar against the power Project Management and District Administration in the social media.
He revealed that the advertisements for employment will be advertised publically through print and social media both skilled and unskilled unemployed youth of District Kishtwar within days.
SP Kishtwar warned that District administration and Kishtwar Police will take strict action against the erring persons and organizations who would try to mint money illegally out of this power project.
He said that there is nothing like engagement of any outsider by the company added that even in initial stages, the said company has engaged only 20 staff out of which 18 belongs to Dool area and 2 are from Kishtwar town, however both the officers did not speak about the procedure adopted by the company while making these appointments.
It is pertinent to mention that various unions threatened to launch mass scale agitation after Eid in case the government failed to transfer DC, SP and SHO Police Station Kishtwar.
