Early Times Report

Jammu, June 1: Amodhini Karwani of KC Public School Jammu scored an overall percentage of 99.2 in the class 10 examination conducted by the CBSE this year and thereby topped among all CBSE affiliated schools in the state of Jammu & Kashmir.
She scored 100% marks in Mathematics, Hindi and FIT. She has been a student of the school from LKG and has shaped into an all-rounder over the years with exceptional talent in public speaking and theatre.
She has acted in several theatrical productions and has anchored special school functions in both Hindi and English. She is also Round Square member and has attended MUN events at the national level. She has also visited Malta University as member of an Indian delegation.
Amodhini attributes her success to consistent and rigorous work schedule, quality teaching in the school and unstinted support and guidance from her parents. She gives full credit to the school and her teachers for shaping her into an all-rounder. Her father Dr Arvind Karwani is the Deputy CEO of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board, Katra, and has always been a great source of inspiration to his two children getting their education at KCPS.
Amodhini was felicitated by the school management. Chairman of KC Public School Raju Chowdhary, Managing Director Arti Chowdhary, Vice Chairman Arjun Chowdhary and Principal Amarendra Kumar Mishra were present on the occasion. While congratulating Amodhini on her outstanding performance in the first external examination conducted for class 10 by the CBSE after discarding 10 years old CCE pattern of examination, he said that she had brought honour and glory not only for her school but also for the entire state of J&K. He expressed the hope that she would continue to excel in her class 12 Board examination two years later.
Appreciating her exceptional academic and co-curricular achievements, the Chairman declared that the school management would be happy to offer her free scholarship at her Senior Secondary stage of education at KC Public School for the next 2 years.
