VOJ seizes JKMSCL's supply order record | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June1: The Vigilance Organization Jammu (VOJ), few days ago vindicated the report of Early Times according to which government-owned Jammu and Kashmir Medical Supplies Corporation Limited (JKMSCL) had issued supply order worth crores in favour of blue eyed without opening of financial bid. Early times in its report dated April 2, 2018 titled "Blue-eyed bidder issued order to supply dental equipment Rs 4.80 cr, Codal formalities trashed!" had stated that JKMSCL invited E-bids for procurement supply of various dental machinery and equipments including dental chairs in the year 2015. It was also mentioned that without opening of financial bid, the corporation had allotted supply order of dental chair to a company in violation of the norms. Out of four, three companies were found qualified in the technical evaluation bid by the Corporation. The Corporation was supposed to open the financial bids of the qualified bidders which till date have not been opened and the contract of supply order was given to a particular company. "However, the Corporation almost has completed the whole process of said bidding and the bidders who qualified waiting final call such like opening of financial bid but some politicians of incumbent government pressurised Corporation officials for compelling to issued supply order in favour of M/S Confident without opening of financial bid", sources said. They further said that some of the corporation members to appease the politicians have issued supply order in favour of particular firms and directed them to purchase dental equipments on rate contract issued by outsider Corporation. If such equipments were purchased on contract rate issued from other corporation than what's the fun for establishment of its own corporation. "Couple of days ago a team of Jammu Vigilance visited JKMSCL office and seized the record related to the dental chair supply order", sources said, alleged that some people have already started lobbing to hush up the matter, so that the big fishes involved in the entire scandal could not be touched. |
