| GDC Udhampur organizes seminar on World Blood Donor Day | | | | udhampur, June 14: The Red Ribbon Club and NSS Units of Government Degree College Udhampur in collaboration with J&K State AIDS Control Society organized a seminar on the occasion of 'World Blood Donor Day'. The theme of the programme was "Be There for Someone Else" and the slogan was "Give Blood, Share Life". On this occasion Principal of the College Prof (Dr). S.K. Magotra chaired the event and also addressed the students about the importance of donating blood. Prof. Hans Raj Sharma, Coordinator, Red Ribbon Club asked the youth to donate blood as its saves life and there is no other source of blood on the earth. Prof. Samosh Kumar, NSS Programme asserted that access to safe and sufficient blood and blood products can help reduce rates of death and disability due to severe bleeding during delivery and after child birth.
