Eid-ul-Fitr celebrated with religious fervour, gaiety across Jammu region

Jammu, Jun 16: Thousands of Muslims thronged the various Eidgahs and mosques this morning to offer Eid Namaz which was followed by exchanging the Eid greetings and pleasantries.
In Jammu, biggest congregation was held at Eidgah Residency Road Jammu where thousands of people, accompanied by their children, offered Eid Namaz and exchanged Eid greetings.
All the religious places of the Muslims/mosques were highly decorated and people thronged in large numbers to offer special prayers since early morning. On the occasion, Imam of the Masjid prayed for peace and harmony in the state.
Elaborate arrangements were made by the district administration for smooth celebrations of Eid festival across the district.
MLA Jammu East Rajesh Gupta, Divisional Commissioner Jammu Hemant Kumar Sharma, ADC Jammu Arun Manhas besides other senior officers were also present on the occasion and exchanged the Eid greetings to Muslim brethren.
Eid-ul-Fitr was celebrated with religious fervour and gaiety across the district Ramban today concurrently with other parts of the country.
The major congregation took place at Jamia Masjid Sharif Ramban where hundreds of devotees performed Nimaz -e-Eid and prayed for peace, development and prosperity of the State as well as of the country.
Muslim brothers also exchanged wishes, sweets and gifts with people from all walks of life.
On the occasion, SSP Ramban Mohan lal, ADC Gurvinderjeet Singh, Tehsildar Parmod Kumar congratulated and greeted the people of Ramban and said that such occasions would promote unity, communal harmony and brotherhood in the State as well as in the district.
Reports coming from other parts of the district said that Eid was celebrated with religious fervour and gaiety in Tehsil Banihal, Ukhral, Batote, Gool and Rajgrah
Eid-ul-Fitr celebrated in Udhampur with religious fervor . on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr Muslims in Udhampur on Saturday offered Namaz at Eid gah at Adarah Colony, Udhampur.
Large Number of Muslims from udhampur and different adjoining areas of udhampur offered Nawaz at Eid gah Adarsh colony Udhampur. Children and Men wearing new clothes, offered prayers and great others on the occasion of Eid. Eid-Ul-Fitr celebrate to mark the end of the holy month Ramzan.
DC Udhampur Ravinder Kumar along with Pawan Gupta MLA udhampur, SP Udhampur and various officers of Distt. administration were Present on this ocassion to greet the people.
