| Engineers stage protest against manhandling of JE | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, July 12: The Forum of Junior Engineers with Engineers of different wings of Electrical, Civil, Mechanical today held a strong protest at Chief Engineer, EMRE PDD, Canal Road Office of the Power Development Department under Chairmanship of Er. Sachin Tickoo , Convenor of the body on the issue of manhandling of Junior Engineer while on official duty by miscreants at Bani Tehsil of Kathua District.
The engineers strongly condemned the action of the unruly mob and that too when the manhandling took place in the presence of Naib Tehsildar Duggan,Bani Tehsil. The incident took place when the Junior Engineer had gone to site along with staff to enquire about the cause of electrocution of a person who was repairing appliance at his home. The engineers are seeking strong action against the miscreants and a video of the incident has been also become viral. But even after 48 Hrs of the incident the Police have not arrested the persons who are clearly visible in the video recording. The local Police have not lodged requisite FIR till date against the miscreants who have been captured in the recording. Engineers appealed to the Divisional Commissioner Jammu, SSP Kathua to intervene in the matter and Deputy Commissioner Kathua and SDM be instructed to prevail on the Police to nab the miscreants immediately who have assaulted the Govt Official on duty. The Engineers have already met DC Kathua and SDM in this regard. |
