YCET organizes two day orientation programme

Jammu, Aug 13: Yogananda College of Engineering and Technology (YCET) organized 2-day orientation programme for the students of B.E. 3rd & 5th semester of all branches. It started with the welcome speech by the Dr. Arvind Dewagan, Director, YCET and apprised the students about anti-ragging rules and maintenance of discipline and other professional ethics. It was inaugurated by Er. Vidhi S. Singh, Chairman, Jamwal Group of Educational Institutions. While addressing the students, he re-iterated the mantra of YCET "Where excellence is just the beginning", and highlighted the continuous and vigorous pursuit of excellence that the institution is after. It was followed by the lecture on "Human Values" which was delivered by Er. Amit Sharma, Vice Principal, IECS, Jammu. Thereafter, Er. P. K. Nanda, who, with his exceptional words of motivation, nurtured the expectations and believes of young minds. The emphasis shifted towards a lighter side as the students were introduced to the elaborate sports programme of the institution via a sleek presentation and movies. This session was precisely designed to highlight the importance of overall well being and sound development of the students. Along with this, a session on "Mental fitness for Youth" was conducted by Dr. Manmeet Singh, Asstt. Professor ASCOMS who gave the tips to the students for mental fitness.
Er. Renu Bangroo, Managing Director, JGEI added to the session by motivating the students in which she elaborated the path of professional enlightenment being followed by YCET since its inception. With the event fast approaching conclusion, Er. Nidhi Jamwal, Administration Secretary, YCET took it upon herself to further the theme of the day of orienting the students about the beautiful future they had ahead of themselves. During the event, the young, excited and somewhat confused minds of the students were now filled with hopes and confidence of attaining the future they always aspired to have during this orientation programme. The Programme was coordinated by Er. Dinesh Gupta, Head of the Department of Computer Science Engineering & IT. The management and faculty of the institution, through their tireless efforts and enthusiasm for this new era, successfully achieved at the end of the day, the goals that they set out to achieve at the beginning.
