NIC ignores Guv's detachment order of employees
Refuse to detach Data Entry Operator
8/13/2018 11:52:03 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, Aug 13: National Informatics Centre Kathua has virtually thrown the order of Governor's secretariat into dustbin by refusing to detach a Data Entry Operator who has been attached in the same office for last many years.
Sources informed Early Times that a Data Entry Operator who was engaged by education department years back under Sarv Shiksha Abhiyaan (SSA) and posted at Zonal Educational Office, Hiranagar, has been attached in NIC Kathua since long time but nobody can dare to detach him due to close proximity with power corridor.
The callousness of department of education can be gauged from this fact that the Zonal Educational Office Hiranagar of district Kathua at present no Data Entry operator and untrained teachers were forced to do work of data entry because he was attached at District Office Kathua.
However, General Administration Department (GAD) published a circular with vide No. 22- GAD of 2018 dated 06/07/2018 wherein the concerned Additional secretary to the Government had directed to all department that all the employees who were attached in different department should be detached and should be joined his/her parental department by 16/07/2018 but neither NIC Kathua detached the said official nor the education department call back the said employee so far.
Sources further said that due to close proximity with power corridor and district administration, nobody in the department has so far dared to detach him despite everyone knows that his original place of posting is at zonal education office Hiranagar. "Since he was attached there, the work of the office has been disturbing badly and teachers who have little knowledge about computer were engaged to do same work of data entry operator", said sources while wishing anonymity.
Another sources informed that to save the skin of the blue-eyed employee, the department devised a unique modus operandi by terming the attached employee as backbone of NIC Kathua and if detached him, the department would cease to function.
