Jammu, Aug 13: All J&K Plus 2 Lecturers' Forum strongly resented and flayed the Govt. Order to appoint a KAS Officer as Secretary, J&K Board of School Education in blatant violation to J&K Board of School Education Act, which stipulates that Secretary and Chairman should be academicians.
Addressing a meeting President of Forum Deepak Sharma that since J&K BOSE is an arena of School Education Department, All Officers right from Academic Officers, Director Academics, Joint Secretaries including Secretary and Chairman should be drawn from Plus 2 Cadre/ School Education Department only and Govt. should stop experimenting with Teaching-Learning Process by appointing non-concerned KAS Officers with education system.
It is pertinent to mention that Forum is already demanding repatriation of KAS Officers as Joint Directors in Education Department to their parent cadre as it has been done in gross violation to SRO 481 and without fixing induction quota into KAS in favour of Plus 2 Lecturers as they are not a feeding cadre to KAS.
Speakers said that Forum won't tolerate step motherly treatment with Plus 2 Cadre wherein Govt. is creating promotional prospects for KAS Officers and marring the already limited promotional avenues for Plus 2 Cadre who are facing worst type of stagnation in the absence of Running Grade/Time Bound Promotion/Assured Career Progression (ACP).
Forum demanded immediate revocation of appointment of Secretary, J&K BOSE otherwise they will be forced to resort to agitational path and Govt. should get Evaluation and conduct of examinations also from KAS Officers only.
The meeting was attended by N.S. Jamwal, Charan Dass, Dr. Sushma, Anil Sharma, R.S. Slathia, Pardeep Singh and Sanjay Bhagat. |
