JJSF holds protest at CU campus, demands open admissions
8/16/2018 10:53:02 PM
Early Times Report

JAMMU, Aug 16: JJSF today held a massive protest demonstration at Cluster University (CU) campus, Jammu against the dictatorial attitude of administration regarding the admission process in the colleges coming under the Cluster University. Hundreds of the aspirants who were passed in re-evaluation exams, private exams and those who missed chance to fill online form because of some reasons were struggling to get the admission in the city colleges for the session 2018-19 who were treated mercilessly and were bluntly refused by the University administration for admission. After seeing the dictatorial attitude of the administration the aspirants under the leadership of Atul Sudan (State Vice President JJSF) started raising slogans against the Cluster University administration. Meanwhile, students from SPMR College of Commerce also joined the ongoing protest under the leadership of Jatin Sharma (President SPMR College of Commerce).
Addressing the massive gathering of the admission seekers, Atul Sudan said that it is very unfortunate that university administration is acting as dictator and is bluntly refusing to give admissions to the students who passed in re-evaluation results, private examinations and to those students who missed to fill online form for admissions because of some reasons. He also said that this dictatorial attitude of the university authorities may ruin the future of the students.
Meanwhile, University Authorities through Dean Academic Affairs Poonam Dhawan along with all four principals of cluster university colleges including Principal GGM Science College, Principal GCW Gandhi Nagar, Principal SPMR College of Commerce and Principal MAM College assured the JJSF leaders and protesting students that they have decided to give last chance to all students for admissions.
Fresh applications can be submitted on August 20 in the respective colleges.
