BHADERWAH, Aug 19: Indian Style Wrestling Championship organized by Youth Action Committee Bhaderwah in collaboration with Indian Army concludes here today .
The Championship was held under the overall supervision of president YAC Naseer Mehboob , Physical instructor Abdul Haq , Subash , Majid Aslam Wani , Sajid Sarmadi, Rohit Sharma , Mohan Singh Balroria , Mohd Hussain , Rafayat Ganai , Kamran Khan , Kalash Chander , Tariq Hussain , Ubaid Pray , Ramzan Paray , Javed Sheikh and others . Thirty six wrestlers participated in seven weight categories of 46Kg, 50Kg, 55Kg, 61Kg, 67Kg, 75Kg, and 85Kg in the event.
Brigadier 4 Sector Manjeet Singh was the chief guest on the occasion who presented medals, certificates and cash prize to the winners whereas Commanding Officer RR Col D D Panday , ADC Bhadewrah Pawan Parihar , ASP Rajider Singh ,SDPO Touseef Reshu , Tehsildar Masood Ahmed Rangraz , and other officers of Indian Army was also present on the occasion . Brigadier 4 sector Manjeet Singh in his speech said that the army will provide every possible help to the organizers for the development of the game of wrestling in the Bhaderwah , adding that the camps will be arranged for the wrestlers to help them hone their skill.He said possibility will be explored for arranging coaching camps for the wrestlers in near future.Small wight wrestling was won by Farooq Jai whereas heavy weight was won by Rehmant Ali where as Nisar Bhalesse was also present on the occasion . |
