| PHE workers stage protest | | |

MENDHAR, Aug 24: The PHE workers from Mendhar sub division lodged protest against the concerned authority for not paying their wages even on the Eid festival.
The workers assembled near PHE sub divisional office at Mendhar today and lodged their protest. On the occasion, they said even after the instruction of Governor to release wages of workers before Eid, the Executive Engineer Poonch failed to draw the salary of PHE staff at Poonch.
They said not only temporary workers, even the regular staff was also remained without wages. The daily wagers have not been paid for the last about 35 months. These workers said that they could not celebrate Eid and bring anything for their children on this festival. |
