Early Times Report

Rajouri, Aug 24: For not cooperating with the Zonal Medical Officer (ZMO) , staff members and for misbehaviour with the patients/attendants, an ambulance driver has been relieved by the Block Medical officer (BMO) from Kandi health block and directed to report to CMO office for further adjustment.
As per reports Mohd Bashir was posted at Budhal , Primary Health Centre (PHC) as an ambulance driver and according to ZMO, staff members and people of the area he mostly remained absent and was misbehaving with the patients and staff members.
People and hospital staff also alleged that many times he took the ambulance to Jammu for his personnel use without any intimation to the concerned officials.
"His behaviour was affecting the smooth functioning of the health centre and people many times approached the higher officials against him. According to report submitted to Dr Iqbal Malik, BMO Kandi by the ZMO, Budhal, the ambulance driver ,Mohd Bashir was absent from duty since August 13.
ZMO said that Mohd Bashir after parking the ambulance inside the health centre left the station without producing/submitting any sanctioned leave and also took the keys of the ambulance along with him.
This act of Mohd Bashir created chaos for the management of the health centre and accordingly ZMO approached the BMO against him.
Besides ZMO's report against Mohd Bashir, there were several other complaints against him from the people of the area.
"On the ZMO's report and on the complaints from the general public against Mohd Bashir, ambulance driver, he has been relieved from Kandi Health Block on Thursday and directed to report to Chief Medical Officer (CMO) office for further engagement/duty " said Dr Iqbal Malik, BMO.
