ASKPC lambasts state, union Govts for not addressing KPs issues

Jammu, Aug 31: Keeping in view the present political situation in state and lackadaisical approach of both state and central govt. towards internally displaced Kashmiri Pandit Community, All State Kashmiri Pandit conference (ASKPC) convened meeting of all heads of socio-political organization and social activists of the community today at ASKPC Bhawan, Durga Nagar which was chaired by its president Advocate Ravinder Raina.
The representative of major organizations who participated in the meeting were Dr. Agni Shekhar, Kuldeep Raina, Daya Krishan from Panun Kashmir, H.N Jattu (AIKPC) P.L.Budgami (KHF), Vijay Bakaya Ex MLC, Ashok Kangan (JKVM), Rakesh Koul Sampuran Kashmir, Vijay Bhat, Ravinder Jalali (PK), M.K.Yogi NC Minority Cell, Chand Ji Bhat (BJP Mandal President), P.K.Tikoo (PDP Migrant Cell) D.N.Kissu, Prof Girdhari Lal, P.L.Swadeshi (AKBUF), Sharda Nanadan, T.K.Ganjoo, Anil Bhat (PTI) Prof. Verinder Rawal, M.K.Koul, Verinder Raina, Kanwal Krishan and whole executive of ASKPC.
All the speaker were critical and expressed their concern towards the attitude of the Govt. towards the displaced community and were apprehensive that our fundamental rights are being snatched from us.
We are running in 30 years of exiled life and are refugees in our own country and are facing all human right violations as is evident that our voting rights in Municipal Elections has been snatched by deleting our names from the voter list of the place /ward where we are residing for the last 30 years and need every civic facilities at the place of living while as we are being directed to use your vote for a corporator who is miles away from us and has not locus stand to cattle our civic enmities.
In the meeting it was unanimously resolved and consensus was evolved for two point agenda which involved that martyrs day on 14th September shall be observed at one place to express unity and soliditary by paying sharandhajali to our martyrs who laid their lives for the community cause and secondly a unified fight will be fought for the restoration of our fundamental rights and community will leave no stone unturned to solve our problems for which legal opinion shall also be obtained if need arises as democracy run by new Delhi has long succumbed before the pan islamic fundamentalists in Kashmir where we are aborigines but no attention is being paid towards this hapless community. The meeting ended with positive note and vote of thanks was presented by Dr T.K.Bhat General Secretary ASKPC.
