POWERGRID hands over Computers to GHS Model School for Girls

samba, Aug 31: POWERGRID today came forward to provide a small help in Education sector by handing over six Computers along with UPS to Government Higher Secondary Model School for Girls at Samba J.P. Singh, Executive Director POWERGRID Northern Region-II handed over these computers in a simple but impressive function in the School. J.K. Raina, Principal of the School received these Computers from POWERGRID in presence of staff members of the School and senior officers of POWERGRID including Amarjit, S.M. Kandwal, General Managers of POWERGRID, Dr. J.S. Chouhan Chief Manager (HR), Ramesh Kumar Chief Manager(I/C) Samba Substation, Gautam Luthra Chief Manager (PESM) and Raman Chief Manager (HR).
Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (POWERGRID), realizing the indispensable role of Computers in education is providing Computers to Government Schools and as a part of this endevour, six computers along with UPS were handed over to the Government Higher Secondary Model School for Girls, Samba as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program.
On this occasion J.P. Singh highlighted various CSR activities being undertaken by the POWERGRID and stressed on the fact that CSR activities by POWERGRID are the manifestation of its commitment to a better future for all and helping the nation in building a sustained and self-dependent social structure. During the programme organized on this occasion he distributed Hygine kits and other goodies among the school Children. Cultural programme was also presented by the children on this occasion. J.P. Singh also handed over the dustbins to the School for proper upkeep of the school.
