| People stages protest against PHE | | | Early Times Report
Rajouri, Sept 3: Habitants of ward No.1 near Danishabad colony today afternoon held protest demonstration against the PHE department officials for their failure to provide safe drinking water to them on regular basis.
"Why the department officials ignoring our area since a long time is better known to them however, the habitants facing many problems in the absence of adequate water supply during their routine domestic activities" said protesters.
They alleged that on monetarily consideration the 'linemen ' of the department supplying water of their share to other parts which is clear violation of theey also alleged that some linemen have provided illegal connections to influential people from their water supply line which is another major reason of shortage of water.
Haq Nawaz and Mohd Tariq has appealed to Governor's administration to take necessary action and transfer the entire local staff, who have political back, to other places so that the water supply may be streamlined.
They also demanded inquiry against the concerned officials who despite several representations don't bother to take necessary measures to mitigate the water crises in ward No.1. |
