Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 9: Aunion meeting was convened by the J&K VLW Association State President Sh. Anurudh Singh at block headquarter ,udhampur. The meeting was conducted with the objective to apprise the genuine issues which are pending since long time.
The main agenda was:- Creation of inspector panchayat post in 177-CD-Blocks , Enhancement of initial grade pay from 1900 to 2400 and DPC still pending since 2009
The state president apprise the state government about the panchayat elections which is tentatively schedule to be held in the month of nov-december and how it will possible to conduct the panchayat election with out the posts of inspector panchayat in the 177-CD-Blocks.
Regarding the enhancement of initial grade pay( when this department came into exixtence the initial pay grade of Vlws was at par with naib -tehsildar)i.e from 1900 to 2400, the recent judgement by honble high court of jammu and Kashmir ,Srinagar (swp no. 1677/2012) dated :20-07-2018,directed the state government to implement the sro -44 in favour of vlws.
Our association is still silenced and never remains the supporter of strikes and protest ,it is only our efforts to work day and night for the successful implementation of all centrally and state schemes thereby upliftment of various sections of population .
We also appeal to the state government to fill up the vacant posts of VLWs in this Department
But it is the state government apathetic attitude that instigating the VLWs of state to come on the roads and to also boycott the panchayat elections.
It is once again requested to the state government to frame the committee to early disposal of our genuine demands since long time.
