Early Times Report

Jammu, Sept 17: A meeting of Aarakshan Virodhi Manch Jammu Kashmir was held at Ramnagar district Udhampur under the chairmanship of Ram Paul Seth President and they criticized the anti general category policies of the government and stressed upon total abolition of caste based Reservation.
As per press statement issued here, he said that the Reservation has created difference among the communities. None of the political party is doing justice with the poor and needy people of the general category. All the political parties are interested in their vote bank only. Even after seventy years the benefit of reservation couldn't reach to the deserving ones. It remained confined to certain families only.
Jagdish Chander Sharma newly appointed President of Ram nagar Constituency warned all the political parties to stop the policy of divide and rule and work for bringing equality in the society. He said that there is an urgent need to identify creamy layer among sc and st category people. It is great surprise that the children of ministers and bureaucrats competing with the children of poor labourer which is not at all justified. Elite class among these communities is not allowing the poor class to take benefits. It has created a category within the category.
Madan Lal Narad General Secretary appealed all political parties to rise above the politics of vote bank and raise the voice for reviewing the present policy of reservation. He appealed the people of general category to unite and fight against this discrimination. He also criticized the SC and ST atrocities act which is being misused by the people of these communities. Government of India has done a great blunder by opposing the direction of Supreme Court of India and bringing ordinance on this act.
Others those who spoke on the occasion Manmohan Sharma vice president, Gopal Sharma, Mandeep Singh, Renu Devi, JS Jamwal, Surinder Singh and Renu Devi.
