Poonch, Flood Control and Irrigation Department Poonch has allegedly embezzled crores after 2014 floods. According to the sources, Authorities of said department have allegedly misused crores of rupees in the name of restoration of roads and foot bridges, canals and many other public properties.
Locals from different areas of Poonch said, "despite investing crores of rupees Poonch administration has failed to restore Drungli nalah bridge, Dalhan Bridge, Khaneter Canal, Ajote Gulpur canal, Trichal to Kanal, Kehnu local cool and many other projects damaged in 2014 flood".
Union government has announced special flood package for state in 2014 flood and district administration has not utilised the funds properly, locals informed.
They have appealed to Governor Satya Pal Malik to intervene the matter personally, investigate the matter and take appropriate strict action against involved officials. |
