Two smugglers held, 19 bovines rescued

Jammu, Oct 14: Reasi police today claimed to have arrested two bovine smugglers and recovered 19 bovines from their clutches.
Police spokesman said that yesterday a specific information was received at Police Station Mahore that two persons namely Ab. Ghani of Lar, Mahore and Bahar Din of Angrala, Mahore, falling in district Reasi were smuggling the animals illegally.
"On the receipt of this information, a Police team of Mahore headed by SI Sajad Banya-SHO Mahore under the supervision of Zakir Shaheen Mirza-SDPO Mahore overall supervision of Nisha Nathyal-SSP Reasi started the search operation in Dewal area and after putting in hectic efforts by scaling mountainous terrain along with the team, succeeded in apprehending the smugglers along with 19 bovines, which were rescued.
It is pertinent to mention that accused were apprehended in the hills falling in Khour area. The accused persons have been arrested and in this connection a case under FIR No. 77/2018 under section 188 of RPC was registered at Mahore and investigation started.
