Jammu, Oct 14: In a Statement issued by Senior Vice Chairman of JK Ret Teachers Forum Bhupinder Singh appealed Governor Satya Paul Malik to personally intervene in matter of Salaries of Teachers working under SSA and RMSA and to fulfill the announcement made by His Excellency With representatives of JK Ret Teachers Forum to release the salary of the month of September as per 7th Pay Commission.
Singh said that with the announcement of Governor in last days to implement 7th pay commission in favour of more than 41thousands Teachers, there was a ray of hope in Teaching community, but in spite of passing more than 20days ,Teachers are without Salary from last Three to four months and till there is no practical shape to the announcement of His Excellency Governor and as a result More than 41thousands Teachers and their families are celebrating Holy Navratras Festival without Salary and due to salary problem thousands Teachers are facing the Problem of buying the fruits, Milk and other needy things on the occasion of Navratras Festival.
Singh said that We are not interested in agitations but when we are without Salary from last three to four months and Regularization files of Rets are still pending in Directrate offices who have completed their five years service satisfactory ,the Government is again forcing teaching community to adopt the path of agitation .
Singh threatened the State Government to release the Pending Salary of three months of Teachers with 7th Pay Commission and Pending arrears of the month of April ,May and June with 7th Pay Commission within Short span of time otherwise JK Ret Teachers Forum will call the Meeting of Zonal ,District, Provincial and State representatives and will announce Complete Lock out call across the State and Government will be responsible for Consequences.
