| Rape accused turned absconder arrested | | |

Reasi, Oct 14: Arnas police today claimed to have arrested an absconder who was evading his arrest for last six months.
Police spokesman said that today a special police team of Police Station Arnas headed by SI Satish Chander under the guidance of Inspector Som Raj-SHO Arnas, DySP Ashok Sharma-SDPO Arnas and overall supervision of Nisha Nathyal-SSP Reasi, nabbed the absconder.
Police identified the arrested absconder as Sher Singh of Gandali Tehsil Thakrakote from village Panassa. Police spokesman further said that he was involved in a case under FIR No.20/2018 under sections 376 and 458 of RPC of Arnas police station.
He was absconding since last six months after the commission of offence. |
