JKFFA elects new state body

JAMMU, Oct 15: J&K Freedom Fighter Association (JKFFA) today elected its new state body in presence of prominent members of Association.
The members unanimously elected Ved Gandotra as Chairman, Rajiv Mahajan Vice Chairman in the election held at JKFFA office, Dogra Shourya, Amphalla Jammu. The other appointees include R C Puri President, J. A Kazmi Sr. Vice President, Th. Karnail Chand General Secretary, Sdr. J.J Singh Secretary, Pritam Sharma Jt. Secretary, Sdr. Gajan Singh Khalsa Vice President, Kamal Sharma Vice President, Brij Mehra Vice President, Tej Ram Dogra Vice President, Sdr. Rajinder Singh Vice President, Sdr. Sukhminder Singh Cashier and Gourav Pulli Office Boy.
Speaking on the occasion, Ved Gandotra said that thousands of our freedom fighters sacrificed their lives and millions of them struggled in order to drive away British rulers and constituted a system of democracy centered around us.
Speaking on the occasion, Mahajan regretted the lack of awareness among the youth about the country's freedom struggle and called for all-round efforts to inculcate knowledge of history among the masses.
"The young generation is not fully aware of the heroic sacrifices of freedom fighters that paved the way for our independence," Mahajan said.
