LNM Trust holds Bhajan Contest in Navratra Festival

Jammu, Oct 14: Celebrating this year's 'Sharad' Navratras with religious fervor, solemnity and gaiety, Shri Lakshmi Narayan Temple Management Trust, Gandhinagar last night organised Bhajan Competition to mark the fourth Navratra.
More than 50 students from 10 Government and Private educational Institutions participated in this contest. Individual as well as in groups, participating students presented scintillating "Mata ke Bhajan" creating religious musical environmentin and around Lakshmi Narayan Temple complex which has been tastefully decorated with buntings and illumination.
A large number of devotees, teachers of participating schools and members of the Trust encouraged the young participants with huge clapping. Recitation of bhajans by young students, attired colorfully,was punctuated frequently with chanting of religious outpourings like "Jaikara Mata Rani Da", "bolo sanchey darbar ke -jai" and "Jai Mata Di". Students of Humanity Public School, Bari Brahmina were adjudged the best in the Contest while the team of Rich Harvest School, Bari Brahmina got the second position. Students of Dogra Higher Secondary School, Shastrinagar was adjudged third. A panel of four Trustees was constituted to judge the performance of the participating school students. It comprised Ramesh Thakur, Prithvi raj Sharma, Kul Bhushan Bali and Ved Verma.
