Killing terrorism without killing terrorists not possible
10/14/2018 10:52:02 PM
Is it possible to kill terrorism without killing terrorists? Certainly not and the Governor of Jammu and Kashmir has favoured killing of terrorism without killing terrorists. Governor Satya Pal Malik has said that terrorism severely and adversely hampered the growth and development of the youth. "We want to kill terrorism and not terrorists," he said. If terrorism hampers he growth of the youth and overall development of a region the Governor is right but to kill terrorism without killing terrorists is somewhat hypothetical question. It has been seen that terrorism is finished once the Government kills terrorists. This is what is happening in Pakistan supposed to provide have for terrorists and the successive Governments in Islamabad nor the Pakistan Army took any step against terrorists. Mere propaganda against terrorism may not prove fruitful unless massive operations are launched against the terrorists. Appreciating the efforts of the Students' Educational and Cultural Movement of Ladakh in providing education and life skills to the students, the Governor said, "Empowerment comes with education and people who give priority to education ensure a bright future to the nation by taking it on the path of development." Malik lauded the efforts of Wangchuk for his commitment and conviction in taking challenges and appreciated his work in keeping the youth connected to their roots. The Governor while appreciating leaders in Ladakh for development among the youth for their sportsmen spirit, favoured Kashmir to promote sports because the valley has a lot of talent. But the Governor should underst and the hold on people, especially the youth, of separatists and the recent ULB polls are evident for this hold. It was very dismal polling in the Kashmir valley, except for some small pockets.
Not only the separatists but main stream politicians are also responsible for misleading and misguiding people. For Instance the announcement of NC and the PDP for boycotting the ULB polls had their results visible on the polling booths. Those harbouring pro-Pakistan sentiments they lose their telent for education or sports. That is a mere waste of resources and time if the Governor wants sports stadium to be built in Srinagar with international standard. There is a lot of politicians who usually mislead people and even those who lose power speak in different tones. Those in power wish to retain power by cajoling the central Government..In this atmosphere there is no room for development of sports and skills.Apart from the separatists and the main stream politicians, even agencies in Pakistan mi slead and misguide people in Kashmir.
