APS Ratnuchak lift Khelo India Basketball

Jammu, Oct 16: Army Public School Ratnuchak emerged victorious in the Jammu district Khelo India Basketball championship that concluded at MA stadium here, beating APS Akhnoor 47-42 in a cliffhanger.
The final match was keenly contested with lead changing sides frequently right till the end. It was only in the final moments of the fourth quarter that Ratnuchak boys raised their offensive on the opponents who made too many mistakes at the crucial juncture.
Ashish Kumar and Rinku Tomar combined well for the winners while Deepak Bhardwaj fought a lone battle for the losers. Ten teams of various schools of Jammu including JP world school, Heritage School, DPS, KC International and JK Public School participated in the two day event. As per the Khelo India norms, winners were given a cash award of Rs. 18000/- while runners up and second runners up were given Rs. 12000/- and 6000/- respectively. Manoj Kumar, Abhiskek Gupta, Shubham Sharma, Amanjot Singh, Hritik Khullar, Rishab Sethi officiated the matches.
