| Intera Diocesan Schools Sports Competition held | | |  Early Times Report
KATHUA, Oct 16: St. Xavier's Convent School, Kathua hosted an Intra- Diocesan Schools Sports Competition of Kathua Zone under the guidance of Diocese of Jammu - Srinagar Education Society.
Participants from different schools of Kathua zone namely, Sacred Heart Convent School Billawar; St. Mary's Convent School Ramkot; Holy Family Convent School Nagari and St. Xavier's Convent School Kathua took part in various Track and Field events. The event began with the flag hoisting by Rev. Fr. Dominic T., the Principal of St. Xavier Convent School who encouraged the participants for actively taking part in sports and games and appraised their real sportsman spirit.
The zonal sports meet was declared open by Rev. Fr. Soosai Rajan, co-ordinator for co-curricular activities of Diocesan Education Board. Rev. Fr. T.S. Jacob, the Chairman of Diocesan Education Board, honoured the winners with certificate of position and briefed about the importance of co-curricular activities in students' life. The event concluded with National Anthem. |
