Overloading continue in Mendhar, traffic police in slumber
10/18/2018 10:15:58 PM
Early Times Report
MENDHAR, Oct 18: Overloading of passenger vehicles goes unabated in this hilly border area in Mendhar, putting commuters in great risk. As per eyewitnesses, the overloading is still a routine on the rural and hilly routes of the border district especially in peripheral areas where the frequency of vehicles are very low and people are forced to ride on overloaded mini buses and Tatasumo are often seen over loaded on these routes. But unfortunately nothing has been changed on ground except statements by the officials whose hollow claims have fallen flat on ground zero as the overloaded Sumos, and other vehicles playing on roads.
Although traffic authorities claim of taking necessary steps to control overloading, but it seems only an eyewash as overloading goes unabated and passengers vehicles could be seen over loaded with people clinging around the vehicles on various routes included Mandi, Surankote, Mendhar, Poonch and others.
"Officials of the Traffic authorities are hand in glove with the buses and tatasumo in overloading of the passenger vehicles", alleged Chiarman Mendhar Youth Club Advocate Nadeem Rafiq Hussain Khan adding but who cares for the common masses.
