| SAKS celebrates Shashtra Pooja on eve of Dussehra | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Oct 18: Shri Amar Kshatriya (Rajput) Sabha J&K celebrated Shashtra Pooja on the eve of Dushera Festival at Raj Tilak Bhawan Purani Mandi Jammu.
Shri Amar Kshatriya (Rajput) Sabha J&K organized a Grand Function of Shashtra Pooja, on the eve of Dusshera Festival at Raj Tilak Bhawan Purani Mandi Jammu. Being Traditional Function, all the licensed weapons are cleaned on this day to avoid rusting and to keep them readily available for use at any time.
Havan was started in the Bhawan by eminent Pandits and proper pooja was performed.
Large number of Biradri members from urban and rural areas, participated in the Shshtra Pooja and paid Havan Ahuties to Deity and wished for Prosperity of the Community members, State and the Country as well.
Kr. Naryan Singh President Shri Amar Kshatriya (Rajput) Sabha J&K said that Dushera Festival reminds us the victory over evils. On this day Bhagwan Rama, Killed Ravana for his Tyrannical rule. The people of that era got rid of the Tyrannical ruler and heaved a sigh of relief. On this day the old weapons are worshipped and cleaned for further use. The weapons worship is aimed at not to mis-use of weapons but its use is only made for the protection of People of the State and Country as well. |
