Adv Sharma of HEM wins on BJP ticket from Hiranagar MC
BJP's duplicity on Rasana case out in open

Early Times Report
KATHUA, Oct 21: The duplicity of the Bharatiya Janta Party's (BJP's) political maneuvering has once again come to fore as it gave party mandate for the urban local bodies elections of Municipal Committee (MC), Hiranagar to Advocate Vijay Sharma, who under the banner of Hindu Ekta Manch (HEM) spearheaded the movement for a CBI probe into Rasana rape and murder case.
Advocate Vijay Sharma not only contested the election on BJP mandate from Ward No. 11 of MC Hiranagar but he also managed to secure a win for him
It has fully exposed the BJP's double standards on the issue of Rasana case as on one hand it dropped two of its ministers in the erstwhile PDP-BJP coalition government when they took part in a rally held in support of a CBI probe in infamous Rasana rape and murder case while on the other hand it did not shy to give party mandate to Advocate Vijay Sharma, who along with his supporters openly opposed the Crime Branch investigation and vociferously demanded a CBI probe.
In fact, Advocate Sharma was made president of HEM after it was formally launched following which the BJP had removed him from state executive of the party. Not only this, Advocate Sharma was also involved in anti-government protests in which a number of BJP ministers were hooted, heckled and booed as and when they passed through Kootah on Jammu-Pathankot National Highway.
It is pertinent to mention here that Vijay Sharma is also the frontrunner in the race for the head of the Hiranagar Municipal Committee. The BJP emerged victorious on seven seats out of the 13 wards of Hiranagar Municipal Committee. After the announcement of the results yesterday, Advocate Sharma spoke to Early Times and said that the BJP has won the majority of seats and will form the committee in Hiranagar Municipal Committee.
