10/23/2018 9:42:05 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, Oct 23: Panthers Trade Union, General Secretary Sewa Singh Bali submitted an memorandum to the Union Home Minister, Rajnath Singh at Srinagar in which emphasis was laid on the main issue of regularizing educated SPOs who have been discriminated for a long time now. It is discussed in the memorandum that the wages of the SPOs have been enhanced as per their service rendered as under:
The SPOs having served one to five years will receive now Rs. 6,000/- of Rs. 5,500. The SPOs having served for 5 to 15 years will receive now Rs. 9,000 instead of Rs. 6,000 and those having served for a period of above 15 years will be receiving Rs. 12,000 instead of Rs. 6,000. That Shri Bali impressed upon the Govt. policy of confirming the services of employees after serving a period of 7 years the same yardstick has not been applied to the confirmation of these hard working and educated SPOs further Mr. Bali tried to explain in his memorandum that a policy may be framed for regularization of these SPOs at present the department has come up with an idea of enhancing other wages of Rs. 6,000 for those having served for a period of 5 years, to Rs. 9,000 for those having served for a period of 15 years and those having served above 15 years will be paid a meager amount of Rs. 12,000 which by all means is injustice besides a mockery of labour laws are being made.
