Blind murder case worked out, accused held

SAMBA, Oct 23: Police claimed to have solved a blind murder case committed under the jurisdiction of Police Station Bari Brahmana by arresting the accused person involved in the heinous crime.
Police spokesman said that information was received at Bari Brahmana police station on the intervening night of October 3 and 4 last, that one driver namely Kuldeep Singh son of Vir Singh of Balsambandh District Hissar, Haryana, had received grievous head injury and was admitted in Government Medical College and Hospital (GMC&H) Jammu.
The Investigation Officer (IO), Sgct Sham Din from Bari Brahmana police station immediately deputed to GMC&H Jammu for recording the statements of victim but the same could not be recorded as the victim was unconscious, said the spokesman.
Later, the victim was shifted to his native place Hissar for further treatment where he succumbed to his injuries. As the death of the victim had taken place under suspicious circumstances, an Inquest proceeding under section 174 CrPC was initiated at Bari Brahmana police station to ascertain the cause of death, said spokesman.
Spokesman said that on the directions of Dr Koshal Sharma, SSP Samba and under the supervision of DySP Sunil Kesar, SDPO Bari-Brahmana, a Police Team of Bari Brahmana led by Enquiry Officer SI Ashish Sagar was constituted and deputed to Hissar, Haryana for further proceeding into the investigation.
"During the course of enquiry conducted by IO, it had surfaced that the deceased had in fact been murdered by one Anoop Kumar of Balsambandh District Hissar Haryana owing to his old rivalry and was accompanying with the deceased person at the time of commission of crime near Sudhir Genset factory, Kala Gate Bari Brahmana", said spokesman adding that on the basis of said enquiry, inquest proceeding has been converted into FIR No. 192/2018 under section 302 of RPC which got registered at Police Station Bari Brahmana and a massive manhunt was launched by the Special Team of Bari Brahmana to nab the murderer. The team so constituted raided different locations many times in and outside the State (Bhiwani, Rajasthan, Hissar and Haryana) and finally succeeded in apprehending the accused from Lakhanpur, District Kathua. Inspector Ravinder Singh Rakwal, SHO Bari Brahmana has taken up further investigation into the case.
