JAMMU, Oct 23: Public Opinion Forum, Jammu, headed by Parveen Sharma, Chairman Citizen's Coop Bank Ltd, will be celebrating 72nd Accession Day of Jammu & Kashmir with India at 11 AM on 26 October 2018 at the Tawi Bridge under the shadow of Maharaja Hari Singh's towering Statue in a colorful public function. The executive Committee Public Opinion Forum appeals public to participate in the event in large numbers to cherish the memory of this historic day when we became citizens of free, socialistic and democratic society and pay our tributes to the visionary ruler who acceded to India despite all odds against his historic decision. Like last year, the Public Opinion Forum plans to start the event with hoisting the national flag, the singing of patriotic songs and paying floral tributes to the Maharaja's Statute. A 71 Kg Ladoo will be cut on the occasion to signify 71 years J&K's strides to strengthen democracy and march on the path of progress. Some prominent dignitaries present on the occasion will be requested to speak on the issue of accession and its fall out on inter and intra regional politics. |
